Carolyn Cossavella is the Executive General Manager of the Exquisite Imaging Systems Business within the Space & Mission Systems (SMS) segment at L3Harris Technologies.
SMS provides advanced ISR, secure networks, open-architecture platforms, and end-to-end space capabilities to enable national security and mission success.
Cossavella assumed the position of General Manager of Exquisite Imaging Systems in 2024. In this capacity, Cossavella is responsible for the profit and loss of the $250 Million business based out of Rochester, NY. She is responsible for 1,200 employees across all functions, including engineering and operations, reporting to Charles Clarkson, Vice President and General Manager for Space Superiority & Imaging.
Previously, she served as the Senior Director of Engineering for the division, the Senior Director of Electrical Engineering for the Segment, the Senior Director of Engineering within the Space Superiority and Geospatial sector, the Director of Program Management within the Space Systems Sector, and the Electrical Engineering Manager for the Rochester businesses.
Cossavella has a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. She has been recognized with a number of key awards, including a customer eagle award.
She is a member of the Project Management Institute and holds her Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. She has also received her executive leadership certificate from the Wharton School of Business.
She and her husband own Code Ninjas in the Rochester area. Code Ninjas specializes in teaching children ranging in ages 5-14 the fundamentals of coding in a fun environment.
She serves on the Rochester Museum and Science Center (RMSC) Board of Trustees. The RMSC is a local institute that creates a better world through inspiring curiosity, exploration and engagement across history, science, culture and the natural world.
