Hisdesat

Hisdesat is a government satellite operator active in the areas of defence, security, intelligence and foreign affairs. It provides secure satellite communications services (SpainSat and SpainSat NG I), Earth observation (PAZ) and maritime traffic information via satellite (AIS) to government agencies in various countries.

It is a strategic company for the Spanish Government, with advanced satellite programmes that have generated significant industrial returns for the national space sector since its creation.

Since August 2025, Hisdesat has been operating SpainSat NG, Europe’s most advanced military satellite, providing services to the Spanish Ministry of Defence, the EU and NATO, amongst others.
