Eddie Kato is a well-known international space industry veteran with over 30 years of executive leadership. After his first career at Mitsubishi Electric Corp., he relocated to the U.S. in 1991 and built a distinguished career at major prime contractors, including General Electric, Lockheed Martin, Orbital Sciences, and Thales. His executive track record includes serving as Head of Business Development at Orbital Sciences Corp., SVP of Global Sales at Thales Alenia Space, and CEO of Thales Alenia Space North America, Inc., as well as establishing his own consulting firm, HISe. Kato returned to Japan after 32 years abroad to serve as President and Managing Director of Astroscale Japan Inc. (2023–2026). He is currently Executive Advisor at Interstellar Technologies.
