Buffy Wajvoda

Bio

Buffy Wajvoda is the AWS Global Leader for Aerospace & Satellite Solutions Architecture. She was a founding leader of the Aerospace & Satellite Group at AWS during its inception in 2020 after serving at the AWS Ground Station Solutions Architecture leader. Before AWS, Buffy started and led the Solutions Engineering & Architecture team at Capital One and was the lead architect during Capital One’s transition to AWS. Buffy started her career working at the National Security Agency (NSA) for 15yrs with a focus on cryptanalysis and Radio Frequency (RF) analysis & engineering for satellite and high bandwidth communications. Her last position at the NSA was the Technical Director for Field Operations. Buffy graduated from the University of Chicago with degrees in Chemistry and Economics. She is an avid Chicago Bears fan, loves creating lead-came stained glass projects, and playing video games with her kids.
