Denis Bensoussan

Bio

Denis Bensoussan (https://uk.linkedin.com/in/denis-bensoussan-0b72924) joined Beazley as Head of Space in March 2014 from Hiscox, where he managed the global satellite risks account for 8 years.
Denis is a trusted underwriter deeply aware of the complex and changing needs to manage and cover new risks from a rapidly transforming industry. As such he led the development and marketing of pioneering insurance solutions for new space actors.
Prior to joining Hiscox in 2006, Denis worked in the aerospace department of Marsh and in the aerospace practice at international law firm Simmons & Simmons as well as in similar positions at the European Space Agency, the United Nations and the European Commission. With more than 20 years' experience in the space industry, Mr Bensoussan possesses extensive knowledge of the risk exposures the space industry confronts.
Denis obtained a space systems engineering training from Southampton University and Supaero Paris and holds a post-graduate degree in Air & Space Law from McGill University along with degrees in International Law.
Denis is the Chairman for the London Market Association Satellite Risk Committee.
Denis is also an advisor and mentor for space start up, founders and VC funds.
