Iwao Igarashi

Bio

Iwao Igarashi has the responsibilities for the business development in the all-around space products and services in MHI, including space vehicles’ development, manufacturing, and operation.
Since he joined MHI in 1992, he participated in various space system developments as engineer, such as H-IIA launch vehicle and its 1st stage propulsion system. He also experienced assistant launch conductor and played important role to originating MHI’s launch service business, which was transferred from JAXA. Before the present position, he led the launch activities of H-IIA and H-IIB, and development of Japanese new flagship launch vehicle H3 as deputy director of the engineering department.
