Pierre-Yves Petton spent 20 years in telecom industry at various R&D positions then he joint SNCF, the French railway company, 5 years ago to lead the Telecom Research & Innovation Program. Working as Innovation Technology Leader, his task is to leverage innovative telecoms to implement the strategy of the company. Therefore, he aims at studying any Telecom & IoT new technologies that may benefit to railway system. His expertise includes wireless communication systems such as SatComs, 5G and mmWaves and extends to optical transport layer of wireline networks.
