Richard Cooke

Bio

Richard Cooke joined Esri in September 2018 as the Global Director of Remote Sensing and Imagery, responsible for building out the business team and strategy for Esri’s products and technology that enable seamless integration of all forms of remote sensing data into any geospatial workflow. In late 2020 he began serving Esri as a Corporate Director and SVP of Global Business Development, directing sales and go to market both in the United States and across Esri’s global network of affiliates.

Richard has over 30 years of experience in the fields of remote sensing, computer vision, 3D data processing and rendering, geospatial tradecraft, and location analytics. Prior to joining Esri he served as the Vice President of Engineering (2000 -2002) and President and Chairman (2002 - 2017) of Visual Information Solutions, developers of ENVI remote sensing software. After Visual Information Solutions was acquired by Harris Corporation in 2015 Richard also took on the role of Vice President and General Manager of the Harris Geospatial Division. From 1993 until 2000 he worked in progressive roles, leading up to his appointment in 1997 as Vice President of Engineering, for STB Systems, developers of 2D and 3D rendering hardware and software solutions for commercial and consumer markets.
