Information

Argotec, founded in 2008, is an international aerospace engineering company with facilities in Italy, the U.S., and the European Astronaut Centre in Cologne. Specializing in small satellites for LEO and deep space, and astronaut comfort systems, Argotec integrates AI, autonomous navigation, image recognition, and miniaturization technologies.

The Hawk platform supported Artemis 1 and DART missions. LICIACube, part of DART, was the first Italian object to reach 14 million km from Earth, earning the AIAA Mission of the Year 2023. ArgoMoon, the only European satellite on Artemis 1, aided in returning humans to the Moon.

Argotec improves living and working conditions in orbit. In 2022, Argotec secured a 100 million euro contract for 40 satellites for the IRIDE constellation. In 2023, it announced over 50 million dollars for a new SpacePark in Italy and U.S. expansion, including a transponder facility with NASA JPL. In 2024, NASA identified Argotec as one of the four companies for Rapid Spacecraft Acquisition Services.
