Unseenlabs is a French company from Brittany, European leader in signals intelligence (SIGINT) in the electromagnetic spectrum from space.
Founded in 2015 by Jonathan and Clément Galic, two brothers passionate about aviation and aerospace, the company aims at providing public and private actors in maritime surveillance with a new type of data. To this end they developed a satellite payload embedded with a unique radiofrequency detection technology, deployed on a satellite constellation.
After receiving an award by the French ministry of research the year following its creation, a successful fundraising in 2018allowed Unseenlabs to develop and launch their first satellites.
In August 2019, Unseenlabs became the first private French company to get to space with the launch of BRO-1 (for Breizh-Recon-Orbiter 1), first 6U Cubesat of its future constellation. The new mono-satellite technology allowed for the first data delivery to clients in the following months. In November 2020 two new satellites joined BRO-1 in orbit, marking the deployment of Unseenlabs’ constellation.
The company has announced in April 2021 a B series fundraising of 20 M€.
