Chris McLain founded AscendArc to make satellite communications cheaper than fiber. As AscendArc’s CEO, he has built a world class team, while prototyping key payload technologies for the next generation of GEO satellites.
Prior to AscendArc, Chris was a principal RF engineer at SpaceX for the Starshield program and was a technical lead at Panasonic Avionics, Lockheed Martin, Boeing and Linquest – designing traditional GEO satellites to serve the aeronautical and government payloads.
Chris has Aerospace Engineering degrees from the University of Washington and MIT.
