Bio

Pieter Fossel is the CEO and co-founder of Hydrosat, a leading provider of remote sensing data for agriculture and water management. Under his leadership, Hydrosat has delivered cutting-edge data solutions to commercial customers in over 60 countries, and to key government clients including the United States, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, the European Union, and Kazakhstan.
Before founding Hydrosat, Pieter was a management consultant at Oliver Wyman, where he advised top multinational corporations and private equity firms. He spearheaded more than 50 growth strategy projects and M&A transactions in the aerospace and defense sectors. Earlier in his career, Pieter worked in commodities intelligence at S&P Global. He is an active contributor to the Forbes Business Council, a mentor at Techstars, and an angel investor in seven climate and space tech startups, one of which was successfully acquired by Anduril Industries.
Pieter holds a Bachelor of Science in International Business from Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service and a certificate from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.
