Prateep Basu is CEO & Co-founder of SatSure, a global Earth intelligence
company headquartered in India. Founded in 2017, SatSure owns and
operates the full Earth observation value chain: from a portfolio of upstream
payload infrastructure, through to the midstream proprietary AI/ML models,
to the downstream decision intelligence applications, serving enterprises and
governments across banking, infrastructure, agriculture, forestry, utilities,
and aviation worldwide.
An aerospace engineer from IIST, Asia's only dedicated space university, he
spent three years as Project Manager on ISRO's heavy-lift GSLV Mk-III
program, then moved into satellite consulting at Northern Sky Research,
advising global investment banks and private equity firms on space-sector
M&A.
At SatSure, Prateep built the business from the ground up. Under his
leadership, the space-tech firm expanded upstream through subsidiary
KaleidEO's high-definition, multispectral payloads for dual-use applications,
and his team is now building Dhaarini, a foundational geoAI system designed
as a reusable intelligence layer for sovereign and commercial use.
