Radha Krishna Aryasomayajula is the Chairman & Managing Director of NewSpace India Limited (NSIL), the commercial arm of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), and a key institution driving the commercialisation of India’s space capabilities and strengthening the country’s participation in the global space economy.
With nearly three decades of experience spanning finance, corporate governance, financial management, strategic planning and business leadership, he brings extensive expertise in managing complex, large-scale organisations and navigating the intersection of business, finance and technology. Prior to joining NSIL, he held senior leadership positions with leading global organisations including Barclays and HSBC, where he gained deep experience across financial control, corporate governance, company secretarial functions and strategic management.
A distinguished finance and governance professional, Mr. Radha Krishna is a Chartered Accountant, Company Secretary, Cost Accountant and Insolvency Professional. His multidisciplinary expertise has enabled him to contribute to organisational transformation, robust governance frameworks and sustainable business growth across diverse and complex operating environments.
At NSIL, he plays a pivotal role in advancing India’s commercial space ambitions, facilitating the transfer and commercialisation of space technologies, enabling greater private-sector participation, and expanding opportunities for Indian space companies in domestic and international markets. His leadership comes at a transformative time for India’s space sector, as the country moves towards a more dynamic and globally competitive space ecosystem driven by government, industry and private enterprise.
