Eugene D. Kim is Executive Vice President at Satrec Initiative, a South Korea-based provider of end-to-end GEOINT solutions spanning Earth observation satellites, ground systems, imagery services, and AI-powered geospatial analytics. He leads strategic planning and technical marketing across key global markets, driving international growth for SpaceEye-T—Satrec Initiative’s current flagship satellite delivering 25 cm native-resolution imagery—while helping shape the company’s next generation of ultra-high-resolution Earth observation systems. Working closely with international customers and partners, he helps translate emerging remote sensing technologies into mission-tailored solutions and long-term partnerships. Eugene first joined Satrec Initiative in 2003 and rejoined the company in 2014 after eight years at Raytheon in California, where he worked as an optical and systems engineer on the Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) for NASA and NOAA’s Joint Polar Satellite System (JPSS). He holds a Ph.D. in Physics and an M.Sc. in Spacecraft Technology and Satellite Communications from University College London (UCL), as well as a B.S. in Physics from KAIST.
