Mariam Kaynia was appointed as Chief Data and Information Officer (CDIO) in November 2024.
Mariam is a senior executive with broad experience in the telecom space across functions. She joined from Telefonica Germany, where she served various VP roles, leading among other architecture and strategy data analytics, deliveries of B2C and B2P portfolios, application development and operations, and leading their company-wide digital trans formation.
Prior to joining Telefonica in 2019, Mariam was an Associate Partner at McKinsey & Company, as well as working as a professor and an expert reviewer for the European Commission. She was named in the "Top 50 Women in Technology in Germany" by Handelsblatt in 2021.
A Norwegian national, Mariam holds a Ph.D. in Wireless Communication and Electrical Engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, in affiliation with Stanford University.
