Philip Father

Bio

Philip Father is the Founder and CEO of Scepter, a big data company imaging the atmosphere globally in real time and bringing innovative methane detection capabilities and insights to the energy sector through a hybrid sensor network in combination with a patented data fusion platform. 

As a serial entrepreneur, Philip has focused primarily on large platform incubation and deployment in the space and cleantech sectors.  He has had the pleasure of leading or participating with significant space endeavors such as DirecTV, Galaxy Latin America and Asia Pacific Mobile Telephone, and with renewable energy endeavors in partnership with Fortune 500 SAIC.  Philip also successfully financed, built and launched a proprietary geostationary satellite constellation as a co-founder and CEO of ProtoStar Ltd., a company headquartered in San Francisco and Singapore that provided direct-to-home satellite bandwidth to small-dish television operators across Asia.

Philip is the co-author of multiple patents and has worked with notable companies such as General Motors Hughes, Boeing, Space Systems/Loral, Zee Telefilms, Creative Artists Agency, Nokia, China Satellite Communications, Singtel and Gemini Consulting.

Philip earned his MBA from Stanford University and his BS and MS degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic University.
