Bio

Juan Tomás Hernani is CEO of SATLANTIS since 2014, a leading NewSpace Company for Earth and Universe Observation Technologies and End-to-End Solutions for Small Satellites.

He is a founding member and President of YEESS - Young European Enterprises Syndicate for Space, a non-profit European organization to facilitate and accelerate the New Space dynamic in Europe.

Mr Hernani is an Industrial Engineer (Energy Technologies) by the Engineering School of Bilbao, Economist (Business Administration) by the Universidad del País Vasco, and holds a Master of Science (Advanced Manufacturing) by the Cranfield Institute of Technology.

With extensive professional experience across several economic sectors, including top management roles in private companies and distinguished positions in public administration, he has made significant contributions to internationalization, technology, and innovation. His diverse roles also encompass academia, including at the University of Florida, and board positions in aerospace and technology companies. As the CEO of SATLANTIS and president of YEESS, he effectively bridges industry and policy.
